Welcome To Pilates House of Livingston, LLC

Get the body you want at the studio you love

A creation of pure loving intent, in beautiful downtown Livingston, MT. This space developed as a result of Jamie and Julie wanting to create a space to practice and share the incredible works of Joseph Pilates with the people of Livingston.

The two instructors trained together ten years prior to this adventure and were fast friends way back then. These ladies are loading the love into their classical Pilates studio.

Our Services

pRIVATE

A private session is an effective way to address individual needs, work deeply, and progress at your own pace. We will work with a Reformer or Mat, High Ladder Barrel, Low Chair, Tower, Spine Corrector, and various smaller apparatus.

Mat Class invites up to six per class, working in a progressive fashion towards running a smooth Mat Order.

    Jamie B. Thompson

    Jamie has taught Pilates since 2014, serving Helena and Wolf Creek, Montana. Her focus is empowering her clients to learn and develop a practice of their own. Her background in Bio-Entirety Zone Therapy allows her to connect with each client, offering awareness of anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Jamie is grateful to be blessed with a husband and two beautiful children. The Thompson Family is excited to bring this movement system to our new Livingston community by offering the brilliant works of Joseph Pilates, in its true classical form.

    Julie Christensen

    Pilates has been an instrumental part of Julie Christensen’s life… facilitating general health and wellness, the mind- body-spirit connection, and recovery and healing from a traumatic motorcycle accident.

    Simply put, Julie loves Pilates! She’s been practicing over a decade now, and can say itis truly the greatest, most transformative gift of her entire life. Through Julie’s passion, personal practice, and love for Pilates,she’s inspired to assist others in living as comfortably as possible in their bodies. Through mindfulness, physical awareness, effective breathing, and consistent continual practice of these vital ingredients, Pilates is a powerful yet simple tool for living a full, healthy, and inspired life.

    Why Pilates?

    The practice of Pilates exercises can develop a connection of the brain and body. Joseph Pilates called his beloved system
    “Contrology”, reforming an ailing or inefficient being into a universally trained, balanced body. A Pilates body moves
    with breath, intention, grace, and control. This movement takes the stress out of the body, allowing the nervous system to attune to a sympathetic balance, and create flowing movement.
    With the practice of Pilates exercises, one can learn to use every part of their incredible body, articulating joints, and
    connecting with an innate inner strength. Moving the body without tension and learning to trust and work with gravity
    helps connect the body and mind. We are all created and born of pure positive energy; let’s return YOU to life!
